Women’s Fellowship
The Bridgeton Women’s Fellowship meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 2:00pm in the Bridgeton Methodist Church’s Fellowship Hall. This is a non - denominational group whose mission is helping our local community organizations. This past December we presented monetary gifts to Coastal Women’s Shelter, EPIC, Boys Methodist Transition Home, Merci Clinic, and RCS at our annual Christmas luncheon. In addition, we contributed to the Christmas Blessing and to the Bridgeton Police for their Christmas gift giving program. The group also made crosses for the Boys’ Transition Home to hang in their rooms. We raise funds through bake sales, Christmas Cookie Tray sales, Church Bazaars and garage sales. Please see Corrine Burton for more information or if interested in joining?
Upcoming events include:

Religious Community Services (RCS)
RCS is a faith-based organization addressing the basic needs of the community by providing food, clothing, and shelter to those who need it most. Their primary programs include the Community Kitchen, Clothing Closet, and Temporary Shelter. See Kim Alexander or Corrine Burton if you would like to participate – we are looking for more volunteers to help serve RCS dinners
BMC serves a hot dinner to those utilizing the temporary housing facilities on the second Tuesday of each month.
BMC members support the RCS Outreach program which provides various food products in remote locations each Wednesday of the month.
Trunk or Treat - Annual Halloween event at which church and community members decorate cars and hand out treats to children in a festive environment. Hot dogs, snacks and drinks are provided for children and adults.
BMC Disaster Relief Team - Began as a pantry filled with few supplies to get our Church Family, and the surrounding families, through a storm. BMC has the only generator (for a building) in Bridgeton. BMC became a member of the United Methodist Disaster Relief Team to be prepared to help through a disaster, especially Hurricanes Bertha, Fran, Floyd, Irene, Matthew, Maria, and Florence.
When Pastor Diane Yentes came aboard, we started to add a shelf in our DRT Pantry for canned goods and dry staples to give to families in need, in our community. And for the last 9 years, we have served our community with the Ministry. It’s not a lot but it’s something. And what a hug and a hand on your hand can do, goes a long way. Blessings and heart smiles are what the BMC DRT/Food Pantry does!
Men’s Breakfast
On the first Sunday of every month, our church offers a breakfast for the men of our church as well as men in the community. You do not need to be a member of the church to attend. The meal will consist of a variety of breakfast items that promises to satisfy. This is a time of great fellowship and delicious food. People began to congregate as early as 8:00 with the meal being served at 8:30 in the fellowship hall. Please come and join us!
